We have owned Akitas for over 13 years. Our first Akita Stecals Tasmanian devil is still going strong at 13 and a half. We breed and show most of our Akitas. Although we have a few veterans now who have retired from the show ring. I myself have been judging Akitas and Pyrenean mountain dogs for many years. Our first show dog was a Pyrenean although he didn’t like it much. We breed firstly for the temperament and as I always say if you get a good show dog in the litter that’s a bonus.
